Buffalo

Johnson County, Wyoming

Buffalo is the centre of the work. The studio sits outside town, and the first monument stands downtown — a piece depicting both sides of the Johnson County Cattle War, completed in 1993, the year the artist turned to sculpture full time.

Kaycee

Johnson County, Wyoming

Kaycee was Chris LeDoux’s home town, and LeDoux was a good friend of the artist. The Good Ride Cowboy monument — a life-and-one-half tribute to LeDoux — stands here, and the artist counts its installation among his proudest moments.

The artist graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1977 with a degree in Animal Science and Pre-veterinary Medicine. Decades later a life-and-one-half Breakin’ Through was installed at his alma mater.

Just LeDoux It was commissioned to honour Chris LeDoux for the 125th Cheyenne Frontier Days — the “Daddy of ’em All.” LeDoux went to high school in Cheyenne, rodeoed there, and later headlined it.
